Halloween Practice

Tonight at our church Care Group we had the kids dress up in their Halloween costumes. It was so fun to see the creativity in our group. We had the beautiful Aeiral from the Little Mermaid, her fish (whose name escapes me), Woody and his horse, a skunk, a monkey, a fireman, a cat, a Yankees baseball player and his bat boy, a fighter man ( sorry, Ty, I forgot exactly what you were called) and then my two, Tate an army man and Grant a biker baby. We are ready for Wednesday!!!

Pumpkin Patch

So last week we ventured out to the Pumpkin Patch, also known as Don's Grass. Tate went there last year with his class and still talks about it so we thought we really should go. We had a great time and because it was almost closing time we had the place to ourselves. While Tate enjoyed looking at the pumpkins he was most excited about the hay maze. Last year he didn't really catch on that you weren't supposed to hop over the hay bales in order to get out so it was fun to watch him this year (and it took him quite a bit longer).

The Zoo

Yesterday some moms and I took our kids to the San Antonio zoo. I had been there a couple of times but we normally just go to the sad, pathetic, rescue animal zoo here in Austin. It was a totally different experience for Tate. They actually had real zoo animals like giraffe, elephants, and zebras here. At the Austin zoo the most exciting animal is the retired Baylor Bear mascot who rarely make an appearance. (I am not a good commercial for the Austin Zoo, am I?) Thanks to Jessica D for planning the trip, it was great!
(Right now Blogger is having trouble uploading pictures but hopefully the problem will be fixed tomorrow and I can show you pics!)

My boys

Some of you haven't seen them ever or in a long time so here is a pretty current picture. Tate is 4 and Grant is 6 months. Wow! It seems like just last week Tate was 6 months old. I love every minute of them!

HERE IT IS!!!!!

Okay, so many people have asked me "When are you going to start a blog, Julie". Well, today I had some time and the computer to myself so I thought "Why not?". Please don't expect anything too amazing. I am not good on the computer at all but I will attempt to at least post once or twice a week to let you know what we are up to. JULIE
