I will miss this....

I heard this song yesterday on the radio. It is a country song by Trace Adkins( I don't really know much about his music but liked this.) I am reminded all the time that "they grow up so fast" and that we will "never get these times back" by family members and parents who have raised kids. I have to say this song brought a few tears to my eyes. I am this person always waiting on the next phase in life to start thinking it will be great. Really what I have right now is all I have ever wanted and I need to make sure I treasure each moment for everything goes so quickly and before I know it I will be the one telling some young mom to enjoy each moment for it goes by so fast!!

It's been a long time!!

I know, I know, it has been a long time since I have blogged> The truth is I haven't had too much to write about. I know that seems weird but I really just like to talk about the fun things we do and not so much day to day. I promise as a New Years Resolution to start blogging more. Speaking New Years I was supposed to send out New Year's and change of address cards to probably most of you who read this. Well, I have ordered them twice from Shutterfly and twice they have not arrived. I don't know what is going on so I will probably just get my money back if I cannot track them down at the post office. If you do not have our new address I will send and email out next week letting you know what it is. I don't want anyone to think I left them off of the Christmas card list this year...I was just being cheap and combining the holidays with new address. This weekend we are going to Weatherford and to the Fort Worth Stock show. I hope to post some pictures of that..Yee-haw!!

Christmas and moving.....

Sorry it has been so long since I last blogged. We have been busy to say the least! On December 14th we finally moved. We have been in the process of building a house since February and after almost 10 months I am happy to say we are in-not settled, but in. I really hate moving and have forgotten how miserable it can be. I am so glad we are in now and am ready to start making it feel more like a home. As you can see from the pictures we did not get a real tree, we used some tree decorations I have and put ornaments on them. I felt kind of bad since this was Grant's first Christmas not doing the real tree but we went to Weatherford to be with my family for Christmas so he got the real tree with lights and everything there. Here are some pictures from Christmas at our house ( we opened our gifts Sunday morning before church, then headed to Weatherford in the afternoon) then some from my parents house. Hope you all had a great holdiay season!!!
