I bought this easel yesterday at Hobby Lobby and Tate has enjoyed using it to paint on. I made him paint outside (in his underwear) as not to get orange and red paint all over the house.

7 Random Things

Dallas tagged me for this 7 Random things about me so here they are...

1. My new favorite TV show is Jon and Kate Plus Eight. I really love watching them, they are the family that had twins then had sextuplets. I really admire them and watching them makes me realize that two kids really is no big deal. (My real favorite show is Friday Night Lights but it won't be back on until January'09!)

2.I REFUSE to take a bath in a house that is not new. Dallas, I hear you on the dirty tepid water. I really don't mind it in our new house because no one else's rear ends were in there before mine. However, I am completely disgusted by people who take them in hotels...YUCK! you don't know who has been sitting in there or how well it was cleaned.

3. I haven't thrown up since 4th grade.....I know, weird.

4.I broke my arm on a trampoline when I was four and I wasn't jumping, just sitting on the side...

5. I went to school for 5 years to be a teacher and only taught 3.

6. The night David and I met I was telling him my phone number and the last four digits were the same as his.

7. I really want to learn how to sew. Most of my friends make the most beautiful creations and I am so jealous. It is a good thing to know how to do and I am putting that on my list of things to get around to.

Cowboy Day

Today was cowboy day at school and the kids were allowed to dress up like cowboys and cowgirls. Well, of course Tate was all over that because he loves to dress up and LOVES all things cowboys. He was a little upset because he left his boots at my parents last month so he had to wear his hunting boots but I thought he looked adorable.

COUSINS!!!!

We are FINALLY getting cousins! David's sister and her husband are having a baby (girl named Ella) this May and my sister and Jimmy announced this weekend that they have a little one coming in October!!! We are SO EXCITED for them (of course aunt Julie thinks it has to be a girl and is already scouting good places to buy and order bows). I really can't believe Carol didn't let it out of the bag. She has known for almost 2 months. I talk to her every day and she never said a word!!!! We are so excited to have these little additions to our family . The holidays will be so fun for my boys, they are the only kids on both sides. God is GOOD!!

Happy Birthday Grant!!!!!

WOW! It is so hard to believe that Grant is one year old today! It seems like yesterday we were at the hospital with him. This year has gone by so fast and we are so thankful for that little guy. He brings us tons of joys each day. He is always happy and adores his big brother. He is starting to walk a little more each day (mainly to keep up with Tate) and he has even started saying "Ta!" for Tate. Happy birthday, baby! We love you SO much!!!!

Easter

This weekend we celebrated Easter with David's family. His sister and brother in law were here and we got to spend alot of time with them. Like most Easter's in Texas it was a cool and windy day to be outside hunting eggs but Tate enjoys the fact that he is the only egg hunter and really had fun seeing what the Easter bunny hid.
